The Santa Fe Girls' School

ADMISSIONS

Student Population, Selection and Financial Aid

The Santa Fe Girls' School recruits a diverse student population – academically, economically and culturally. Most girls come from the public school system and return to public schools as academic and social leaders.

Admission to the school is not based on prior, superior academic performance. The school seeks to admit students who have a strong desire to learn. A balanced, diverse classroom provides the best learning environment. To that end, selection criteria include:

  • Motivation
  • Individual strengths
  • Social characteristics
  • Socio-economic background
  • Cultural diversity

A diverse student population is important to the learning process at the school. This year 22% of the students are minorities. The school actively recruits a diverse student body including Native American, Hispanic, African American and Asian students.

Tuition assistance is available.

Each student actually receives some assistance as tuition covers 75 to about 80% of the cost to educate a student.
